Jobs and stages in the studio

Use Jobs in the studio to track each kitchen's stage, read and write messages, send the estimate and copy a view-only link.

Jobs in the studio's top bar lists your shop's kitchens. It needs the internet and you must be signed in.

The Jobs list

Filter with Open, New, All sent and Drafts. Each row shows the kitchen, the client, the stage and when it was updated.

Stages

Each kitchen has a stage: New, In design, Estimate sent, Accepted, Being built, Installed, Closed or Draft. Change it from the drop-down in the list or in the job bar.

Space changes the stage by itself twice: to Estimate sent when you send an estimate, and to Accepted when the homeowner accepts.

Open a job

Press Open on a row. The kitchen loads and a job bar appears with:

• The stage drop-down
• Messages: read and write to the homeowner and designer
• Send estimate
• View-only link: copies a link anyone can look at
• Close job: saves and goes back to the kitchen you had before

Changes you make while a job is open save to that kitchen.

Send the estimate

1. Set your prices first (see "Prices, estimates and the Price tab"). Until you do, the estimate is $0.
2. Press Send estimate in the job bar (it's also on the Price tab).
3. Space asks "Send the estimate for $X to the client? They can accept it online by typing their name." Confirm to send.

You'll see "Estimate sent". The homeowner you invited sees an Estimate button on their kitchen. Only people you've invited with Share can see it.

To send a revised estimate, press Send estimate again. Guests see the newest one.

When the homeowner accepts

The stage changes to Accepted, and their typed name and the date are saved with the estimate. Check Jobs (the Accepted stage) and Messages.

Messages

Space doesn't email anyone when a message arrives. Check Messages on open jobs, and tell clients when you've written.
