Moving to a new computer

Sync on the old computer, sign in on the new one, then set up the things that are kept per computer.

Your shop's kitchens live online once they've synced, so moving is mostly signing in. A few settings are kept on each computer and need setting up again.

On the old computer (if you still can)

1. Open Space while online and press Sync now.
2. On Kitchens, check every kitchen says Synced. Anything showing Not synced yet or Changed here hasn't reached the shop yet.
3. For extra safety, press Save file on important kitchens and keep the files.

On the new computer

1. Go to app.stillespace.com. (The desktop app comes later.)
2. Sign in with the same email.
3. Your shop's kitchens download on the first sync. A fresh license is saved automatically.
4. On the CNC plan, press Choose a folder on the Cut screen again if the machine's computer saves files there.

Set up again on the new computer

These are kept on each computer, not in your shop account:

• Your shop standards on the Shop tab. Press Use my shop standards… and pick your settings file again.
• The cut-file folder (desktop app).

The old computer couldn't sync

If the old computer is offline or broken, kitchens that never synced are only on that computer. If it still starts, use Save file on each one, copy the files across, and use Open kitchen file… on the new computer.

A computer that's usually offline

Connect it once and sign in, so the studio downloads. After that, bring a license file on a USB stick. See "Working with no internet: the license".

Seats

Using Space on another computer doesn't use another seat. Seats are per person, not per computer. Each person signs in with their own email.
