Prices, estimates and the Price tab
On the Basic, Shop and CNC plans, enter your own rates and Space prices each kitchen and makes the estimate. Every rate starts at $0.

Homeowners designing on their own, invited guests and view-only links never see your rates.
Set your prices first
Every rate starts at $0. Space never fills in anyone else's prices. Until you set yours, the Price tab opens on Rates with "Set your prices first", and the top bar says Set your prices.
Under Rates, enter:
- What you charge a foot for each cabinet line and wood
- Design fee, paid at the start and Deposit at signed drawings
- Delivery and install
- Notes on the estimate (your terms)
- Your contractor license number (printed on the estimate)
Your rates are kept with your shop. Everyone on your team prices with the same rates, on every computer. Back to the price model sets them back to $0.
How the price is worked out
Space measures the linear feet of cabinet run. Each wall counts the length its cabinets cover, with uppers over lowers counted once. An island counts each face with cabinets. The Linear feet section shows this by area. Appliance spaces count only if you turn on Count appliance spaces in the run.
The estimate
- Delivery and Install: Priced per job, or add the amount from your rates.
- Add a line for anything extra, like a walnut top.
- You'll see the Estimate total, design fee, deposit and Balance.
Compare lines and woods
Other lines and woods prices the same kitchen in every line and wood. Try it switches the cabinets on screen to that one.
Download or send it
- Estimate (PDF) downloads it with your shop's details at the top.
- Send estimate sends it to the homeowner you invited, who can read and accept it in Space. It's on the Price tab and in Jobs. See "Jobs and stages in the studio".
Showing your price to clients you invite
The owner or an admin can turn on Show my price to clients I invite under Rates. It's off unless you turn it on. Invited clients then see a price range as an estimate from your shop, never from Space. You're responsible for what you quote.
Your name and address on estimates and drawings
On Space's Shop page, Your details on estimates and drawings holds your shop's name, town or address, email, phone and license number. The owner or an admin sets them once, and every estimate and drawing set uses them.
Designers
Designers on Basic price their own kitchens the same way. You can also send a kitchen to a cabinet shop in Space, and that shop prices it with its own rates. See "The designer app: clients, presentations, shops".
