The studio for shops: what each button does
A map of the shop studio's top bar, the List panel and its tabs.
Open a kitchen from Kitchens → Open. The studio opens with the kitchen's name at the top left. Click the Space logo at the top left to go back to your kitchens. Space finishes saving first.
Designing (walls, cabinets, finishes, walking) works the same as described in "Drawing the room, walls, windows and doors", "Adding, moving and changing cabinets", "Choosing paint, wood, counters, floors and hardware" and "Looking around and walking through the kitchen".
Top bar, right side
- Undo and Redo.
- Price (Basic, Shop and CNC): the kitchen's price, or Set your prices until you enter your rates. See "Prices, estimates and the Price tab".
- Help: opens Ask Space, the help chat.
- Jobs: your shop's kitchens with their stage. Open one to read messages. See "Jobs and stages in the studio".
- Shop view: shows cabinet codes and sizes on the 3D, and wall lengths.
- List: opens the panel with the tabs below.
The List panel tabs
- Cabinet list: every cabinet in the kitchen.
- Floor plan: the dimensioned floor plan.
- Elevations: a dimensioned drawing of each wall with cabinets.
- Install sheet: notes for installing.
- Shop: cut list, sheets, orders, hardware, assembly, and the shop downloads. See "Cut lists, labels and machine files".
- Construction (Shop and CNC): the box in 3D beside every construction setting. See "Construction standards and the offcut rack".
Buttons at the bottom of the List panel
- Drawing set (PDF): floor plan, elevations and install sheet in one PDF.
- Save a picture: a large, soft-shadowed picture of the current view (JPG).
- Photo-real: the view rendered on our server in a few minutes, with real light. Signed in and saved online; 50 a month for the shop, more are $10 for 50. See "Photo-real pictures, In your photo and In your room".
- In your photo: the kitchen drawn into a photo of the room.
- In your room: the kitchen full size in the room, on a phone or tablet.
- Save project file and Open project file: save or load this kitchen as a .kitchen.json file.
On the 3D view
3 layouts shows three ways to lay out the room. See "3 layouts: let Space lay out the kitchen".
Where files go
Files download like any download. On the CNC plan, the Cut screen can save straight into a folder you choose.
Guests don't see these
Homeowners and designers you invite don't see Jobs, Shop view or List.
