The whole house: import or draw it, then build

Room → Whole house: import a DXF, PDF or photo of the house plan, or draw it room by room, then build in the kitchen, laundry, pantry or bathroom.

On the Basic, Shop and CNC plans, Room → Whole house lays out the whole house, then you design in the room you need.

Import a floor plan

Press Import a floor plan.

• A DXF (from CAD or a phone scan): every closed room comes in, named from the words on the plan. It works offline.
• A PDF or photo: Space reads the rooms and their sizes online (signed in; 30 a month for your shop). Then it asks you to Check one size. Type the real size of one room and Fix every room rescales them all, or press It's right.

If no rooms come out, try a clearer page, or draw the rooms.

Draw it room by room

Press Draw it room by room, then draw each room. A new room snaps flush against the next room's wall, and a door in a shared wall opens through both rooms. Add a room by size lets you type the room's name and size instead.

Build in a room

Each room has a card with its name, kind and size. Press Build here on the kitchen, laundry, pantry or bathroom (bathrooms need the Bathrooms add-on) to start designing in it.

Scanning a house with the iPhone comes with the Space iPhone app, later.
