Built-ins and furniture

The Built-ins shelf has hutches, end shelves, a window seat and lockers; the Furniture shelf has nightstands, chests, dressers, sideboards and consoles you can size.

The Built-ins shelf

Under Cabinets, the Built-ins tab has the pantry hutch, a dresser hutch, rounded end shelves, a window seat and mud room lockers. Shops and designers also find Make a piece here (see "Custom pieces: describe it and Space builds it").

Door and front options on the Finishes tab include grooved slab, applied moulding and handles built into the front (Hardware → built into the front).

The Furniture shelf

The Furniture tab has a nightstand, chest of drawers, dresser, sideboard, media console and entry console.

1. Drag one into the room.
2. Click it. In its panel, pick the Width, Depth and Height to the top.
3. Under Stands on, pick tapered, square or turned legs, bun feet or a plinth.
4. Pick the Wood, or As the kitchen.

If a change would run into something, it stays as it was.

Shops

On the Shop and CNC plans, furniture boxes go into the cut list and machine files like any cabinet. The shop notes list what else to make or buy: the solid top and legs (with board feet) and the hardware. Each piece gets its own line in the price.
