Machine-File Agreement
(version 1, [EFFECTIVE DATE])
Space can make cut files (G-code and DXF) for CNC routers. Before you download one, read this. It's part of the Terms of Service; where they differ, this agreement controls for machine files.
You're the operator. You and your shop are responsible for every cut your machine makes. That includes choosing and loading tools and tool numbers, speeds, feeds and cut depths, setting zero and hold-down, guards and dust collection, and training everyone who runs the machine.
Check every file, every time. Before running any file from Space:
Preview it in your machine's controller or your own CAM software.
Run the air-cut file Space includes, with the bit clear of the material.
Cut the test coupon.
Check part sizes and hole positions against the cut list.
Controls not yet proven. Only the machine controls Space marks as "proven" have been run by us on a real machine. Files for every other control are provided as-is, and you must run the air cut and the test coupon before the first real job.
The file check is a second look, not a guarantee. Space checks files for some common mistakes. It won't catch everything, and a clean check doesn't mean a file is safe to run without the steps above.
Stop if anything looks wrong. Hit stop, don't run the file again, and email hello@stillespace.com. We'll look into it and send a corrected file if the fault is ours.
What we aren't responsible for. To the extent the law allows, Stille Space isn't liable for damage to machines, tools, spoilboards, material or work in progress, or for downtime or rework, that comes from running a file without these checks or from settings you chose. Everything else about our liability is limited as set out in Section 17 of the Terms of Service.
Your insurance. You keep your own insurance for your shop, your machine and the people who work in it.
